Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale: Matt Hamill vs. Keith Jardine on radar

Sources close to the negotiations between light heavyweights Matt Hamill (8-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) and Keith Jardine (15-7-1 MMA, 6-6 UFC) said at least one fighter has formally agreed to the fight and is expected to sign a bout agreement shortly.

The fight is set to take place at The Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale, not yet formally announced but is expected to take place June 19 at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.

The event airs like on SpikeTV and as always features the finalists of the reality show as they fight for a UFC contract.

Hamill, last faced off against undefeated light heavyweight prospect Jon “Bones” Jones at The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights Finale, where he won by DQ after Jones hit Hamill with two illegal elbow strikes on the ground, commonly referred as “12-to-6” elbow strikes.

Jardine may be in a win or walk situation with the UFC, losing 6 out of his last 10 fights, 4 of his last 5, and coming off his third consecutive loss to Ryan Bader at UFC 110, February 21st.
