UFC middleweight, Chris Leben arrested on suspicion of DUI, released on bail

UFC middleweight, Chris Leben is back in trouble with authorities this week after it was revealed he was arrested on suspicion of operation a vehicle under the influence on an intoxicant and later released on bail. The fighter has been in a similar position in the past and was sentenced to 35 days in jail back in 2008. “The Crippler” is due to face Brian Stann on January 1st at UFC 125 and will be hoping this latest situation doesn’t affect his availability to perform.

This from HawaiiNewsNow.com:

“Officers arrested (Chris) Leben on suspicion of operating a vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant Tuesday. He was released from custody after posting $1,000 bail.”

“Police say Leben was driving on the west-bound side of the H1 Freeway just before 2 AM, when he lost control of his pickup and crashed into a wall near the Kapiolani Boulevard off ramp. He was allegedly driving without a license and without insurance.”

“He is scheduled to appear at Honolulu District Court November 22.”
