Steve Canwell vs. Stanislav Nedkov at UFC 117 in London, England

Steve Cantwell will now face recent UFC signing Stanislav Nedkov at UFC 120 in London’s O2 Arena on October 16th, 2010, after Nedkov was forced off next weekend’s UFC 117 card due to injury.

The former WEC light-heavyweight champion, Cantwell has suffered back-to-back losses against Luis Cane and Brian Stann and was forced out of a bout at UFC 108 in January by a still-unknown medical problem that prompted Dana White to comment that Cantwell might never fight again. Thankfully, it proved to a premature claim by White and Cantwell will step inside the Octagon in London on October 16th to welcome the unbeaten Nedkov to the UFC.

Nedkov, holds a 10-0 record was supposed to face Rodney Wallace next month but was replaced by Phil Davis last week after being forced out through injury. The verbal agreements are in place for Nedkov to make his debut against Steve Cantwell.
