Light heavyweight, Rodney Wallace is another fighter to be axed by the UFC. Wallace was released from his contract with the promotion this week.
Wallace entered the octagon full of promise after going nine fights undefeated on the local circuit. Wallace was scheduled to face veteran Sengoku fighter and UFC newcomer Stanislav Nedkov on August 7, 2010 at UFC 117, however Nedkov was forced from the card with an injury. Wallace instead faced Phil Davis losing the fight via unanimous decision.
“Sho Nuff the Mster” held notable wins over the likes of Antwain Britt and Ovince St. Preux and will need to return to winning ways for any top promotion to take a look at him
