Randy Couture will return to 205 pounds after dominating James Toney

UFC President, Dana White has revealed Randy Couture will return to the light heavyweight division after picking up a dominating first round win over boxing champion, James Toney at UFC 118.

Couture, speaking at the post-fight press conference, said:

“I’m sure the UFC, if things continue the way they’ve been continuing, will want to sign me to a new contract. I take ’em as they come. They always come up with interesting things to do with me and I’m happy about that.”

Dana White, speaking on “The Natural’s” future:

“Obviously that 205-pound division is exciting. It’s kind of in limbo right now, so getting Couture back in the 205-pound division is a good thing. I still think it’s incredible. At 47 years old, he’s still one of the best 205-pounders in the world. Randy Couture is a handful for anybody on any given night.”
