Mike Kyle steps in vs. Antonio “Big Foot” Silva with less than one weeks notice

Fast rising heavyweight star, Mike Kyle has agreed to step in for an injured Valentijn Overeem, who suffered an elbow injury in training, when he faces former EliteXC heavyweight champion, Antonio “Big Foot” Silva this weekend at the Strikeforce event in St. Louis, Missouri.

Silva seen his six fight winning streak come to an hault at the end of 2009 losing to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu master, Fabricio Werdum. He rebounded by defeating Andrei Arlovski in May, beating the former UFC heavyweight champion via unanimous decision.

Kyle has been on a roll after switching weights in recent years including capturing the XMMA and King of the Cage 205 pound titles. He also holds a win over current Strikeforce light heavyweight title holder, Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante.
