Michael Bisping vs. Jorge Rivera at UFC 127 in Sydney, Australia

UK middleweight fighter, Michael Bisping will throw down under against experienced veteran, Jorge Rivera in a middleweight bout that headlines UFC 127, set to go down in Sydney, Australia on February 27th, 2011.

Bisping is coming off back-to-back wins inside the octagon defeating Dan Miller and Yoshihiro Akiyama via unanimous decision, after the disappointment of being edged out by Wanderlei Silva on his last trip to Australia.

Rivera is on a three fight winning streak defeating Rob Kimmons and Nissen Osterneck and most recently knocked out Nate Quarry at UFC Fight Night 21 in March. He was orignally set to face Alessio Sakara last night before Sakara pulled out due to injury.

Rivera’s manager, Lex McMahon, speaking via MMAWeekly.com, said:

“UFC likes the fight, we like the fight, but I don’t think Bisping is man enough to fight Jorge. He has no warrior spirit, he knows Jorge will break his will and crush him.”
