Martin Kampmann vs. Paulo Thiago possible UFC 115 in Vancouver

UFC welterweights, Martin “The Hitman” Kampmann and Paulo Thiago look set to meet at UFC 115 on June 12th in Vancouver, Canada.

According to the Las Vegas Sun, sources close to the situation have revealed that both sides have verbally agreed to meet and bout agreements are set to be signed next week,

Kampmann rebounded from his knockout loss to Paul Daley last year when he fought Jacob Volkmann and won via first round submission using a modified guillotine choke that Kampmann calls the Deathchoke.

Paulo’s last fight was set to be a rematch against Josh Koscheck at UFC 109. However, Koscheck pulled out of the bout after an undisclosed injury. Koscheck was replaced by AKA team-mate Mike Swick. Thiago won via submission (d’arce choke) in the second round and earned his second UFC fight bonus with the win. By defeating Swick, Thiago took his record against AKA members to two wins and one loss.
