Junior dos Santos: Doesn’t matter who wins tonight he’s going to knock them out

Brazilian UFC heavyweight, Junior dos Santos is not worried who wins tonight’s fight between Brock Lesnar and Cain Velasquez at UFC 121 because he plans on knocking either one when he gets his title shot at the start of next year.

dos Santos, speaking via MMAJunkie.com, said:

“I’m so excited for this fight because I will know who is going to be the guy I will take the belt from. I think Velasquez has a very good chance to be champion, but against me, it’s going to be different. I think Brock’s a good fighter, too, but it doesn’t matter who’s going to win. When they fight against me, I will knock them out.”

“When I started my career, I did a lot of sparring with the Nogueira brothers. They are very good fighters, and I was starting out at that time, so they beat me a lot. Now, I feel better because with the Nogueira brothers, Anderson Silva and Lyoto Machida, they’ve helped me a lot, and it’s important for me. I’m a more complete fighter than at that time, so I can do better sparring with them. Today, it’s hard for them to spar with me.”

“Today, I’m a more complete fighter. In that time, I was just starting my career. That loss was very good for me. It brought me confidence. Now, I can tell you that it’s going to be different. My jiu-jitsu is so much better now. I’m a brown belt now. … I’m sure I’ll do well in the ground game.”

“This is my dream. I think every UFC fighter wants to be champion someday, and I’m no different. I want to be champion.”
