Josh Grispi vs. Erik Koch at WEC 52 in Las Vegas, Nevada

Top featherweight prospects, Josh Grispi and Erik Koch will throw down at WEC 52 at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 11th, 2010.

Grispi made his WEC debut against Mark Hominick at WEC 32, locking in a rear naked choke in the first round. His most notable victory to date was against former UFC Lightweight champ Jens Pulver at WEC 41 on June 7, 2009. Two days before his Pulver fight, Grispi injured his ankle while training, but agreed to fight anyway. He had to undergo surgery returning a year later to face LC Davis on June 20, 2010 at WEC 49 submitting Davis by Guillotine Choke at 2:33 of the first round.

Koch amassed an undefeated streak of 8-0 before being signed to World Extreme Cagefighting. Koch defeated Jameel Massouh at WEC 45 via unanimous decision. Koch was then defeated by WEC newcomer Chad Mendes on March 6, 2010 at WEC 47, but rebounded from his first loss whe he faced Bendy Casimir on June 20, 2010 at WEC 49, winning via Submission (Triangle Choke) in the first round.
