Jake Ellenberger signs a new four-fight contract with the UFC

UFC welterweight, Jake Ellenberger has revealed he just put the ink to paper, signing a new four-fight deal with the UFC following his impressive third round stoppage win over John Howard at UFC on Versus 2.

Ellenberger, speaking via MMAWeekly.com, said:

“I was talking to my manager, he had just talked to Joe Silva, and they discussed the deal, my new contract, four more fights. I’m pretty happy about that. It’s good to see that working your ass off, and all the blood, sweat and tears, it’s going to pay off. It’s motivating. The UFC is pretty much like the NBA or the NFL of fighting. It’s definitely good to be able to re-sign.”

“I definitely want to get one in before the end of the year. Maybe November. I have no idea who it will be, but there’s a few guys I saw that I’d still love to fight. There’s so many good guys out there that I’d like to fight, and that’s just my opinion, it’s best to leave it up to Dana. There’s (Jon) Fitch, there’s Jake Shields, there’s Matt Hughes, some of the good guys I’d like to match-up with.”
