Former UFC welterweight, Yoshiyuki Yoshida signs three-fight deal with Bellator FC

Former UFC welterweight fighter, Yoshiyuki Yoshida has inked a three-fight deal with the Bellator Fighting Championships and will make his promotional debut on August 19th in Chicago against the season two 170 pound tournament runner-up, Dan Hornbuckle. The news comes via the fighters manager, Shu Hirata’s Twitter page.

Yoshida went 2-3 inside the octagon, picking up wins over “War Machine” and Brandon Wolff, and losses to Josh Koscheck, Anthony Johnson and Mike Guymon. He also holds a very notable win over British hard hitter Dan Hardy via disqualification.

Yoshida last and final loss in the UFC was against Mike Guymon at UFC 113 on May 8th, 2010 via unanimous decision, Yoshida was released from the UFC.
