Fabricio Werdum undergoes successful elbow surgery, returns to action early 2011

the man who shocked the MMA world, Fabricio Werdum has undergone successful surgery on his left elbow this past week in Los Angeles, California and will look to return to the cage in early 2011.

Dr. Neal S. Elattrache of the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic removed a total of twenty seven loose bone fragments from the Brazilian’s elbow, something that has troubled him for some time.

Werdum has become the talk of the town since defeating formerly ranked #1 heavyweight in the world, Fedor Emelianenko in June. Werdum’s manager, Richard Wilner, indicated a 2011 first quarter return to the cage.
