Efrain Escudero considering Strikeforce and Bellator following UFC release

“The Ultimate Fighter” season eight winner, Efrain Escudero will be first TUF winner to be released by the UFC in the history of the popular reality show. The news was confirmed to MMAWeekly.com earlier today by Escudero himself, this news comes following his UFC Fight Night 22 loss to Charles Oliveira last week.

Escudero started his octagon career off in impressive fashion, defeating Phillipe Nover in the TUF 8 finale, Cole Miller and Dan Lauzon, but back-to-back losses to Evan Dunham and Charles Oliveira ultimately led to his release. TUF 8 lightweight winner, Efrain Escudero has not only confirmed his UFC release publically but revealed that he already has his eye on promotions, Strikeforce and Bellator.

Escudero, speaking via his Twitter page, said:

“Hello true fan I was released by the Ufc today speaking to strikeforce and bellator. Taking a week off and make my way back!!!!!”
