Dustin Poirier steps in for Jose Aldo vs. Josh Grispi at UFC 125 in Las Vegas, Nevada

Featherweight prospect Dustin Poirier has stepped up to replace recently crowned UFC featherweight champion, Jose Aldo against Josh Grispi at UFC 125 in Las Vegas, Nevada on January 1st, 2010. The fight will likely remain on the main card of the evening.

Poirier is 8-1 in his professional mixed martial arts career and was last seen in action at WEC 52 earlier this month, defeating Zach Micklewright via TKO in just 53 seconds.

Grispi proved he is still a force to in the featherweight division, after a year out due to injury when he made his return at WEC 49 racking up his eighth straight first-round stoppage over LC Davis. He also holds a win over former UFC lightweight champion, Jens Pulver.
