Dana White: “We’re going back to Dublin this year for sure”

UFC President Dana White, at today’s UFC 111 press conference, stated that the UFC will be making a return to Dublin, Ireland in 2010.

White, speaking at the UFC 111 Presser, said:

“We’re going back to Dublin this year for sure.”

The first and only UFC in Dublin, drew 9,369 fans. UFC 93: Franklin vs. Henderson on January 17, 2009 at The O2, Dublin.

The main event featured a light-heavyweight bout between former UFC Middleweight Champion, Rich “Ace” Franklin and former PRIDE middleweight and welterweight Champion, Dan Henderson. The co-main event featured a light-heavyweight rematch between Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, the PRIDE 2005 Middleweight Grand Prix winner, and the PRIDE 2000 Open Weight Grand Prix winner, UFC Hall of Famer, and former UFC Heavyweight Champion, Mark “The Hammer” Coleman.

The UFC also has visited Belfast for UFC 72: Victory, which drew 7,850 fans and was held Saturday, June 16, 2007 at The Odyssey in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

The main event once again featured former UFC Middleweight Champion, Rich Franklin, that time he faced Yushin Okami. The co-main event featured The Ultimate Fighter 1 winner, Forrest Griffin vs. Hector Ramirez.
