Chael Sonnen submitted his written request for appeal last week to the CSAC

Former UFC middleweight number one title contender, Chael Sonnen has officially submitted his written request for an appeal to the California State Athletic Commission, with his hearing likely to take place on December 2nd as expected.

Sonnen failed drugs test carried out prior to his UFC 117 fight with Anderson Silva in August, a test he admitted he’d fail even before he took it.

“Just filed to SI.com: Chael Sonnen submitted his written request for appeal last week to the CSAC. Seems likely it will be heard Dec. 2.”
