Chael Sonnen rejects “easy” 205 fight for Anderson Silva rematch

Former UFC middleweight title contender, Chael Sonnen has rejected the chance to move up to light heavyweight for the 205 pound title, saying ‘I can go up to 205lbs and take that belt without breaking a sweat.” Rather he wants the man everyone fears, Anderson Silva.

Sonnen, speaking recently to Mike Straka, said:

“Josh [Rosenthal] woke me up to let me know the fight was over. Josh was saying my name and it was the same way my mother use to wake me up for school. He repeated my name three or four times and I remember saying when I came to, ‘am I the champion or not?’”

“picked a fight with the toughest guy out there. I’m not a bully, I don’t go pick fights with somebody that I think I could beat. I can go up to 205lbs and take that belt without breaking a sweat. I don’t want it, I want the bully of the playground. I want the one that everybody else is scared of.”
