Anderson Silva finally back in training after recovering from rib injury

Ed Soares has revealed that the UFC middleweight champion, Anderson Silva is finally back in training after recovering from a lingering rib injury picked up in the days leading up to his last title defence where he submitted American, Chael Sonnen in the fifth and final round after being dominated for the entirety of the fight.

Soares, speaking via MMAFighting.com, said:

“He took quite a bit of time. He tried earlier but it’s finally feeling good. He’s very focused and he’s looking forward to defendoing that title.”

Silva will next face off against fellow Brazilian, Vitor Belfort at UFC 126 on February 5th, 2011.
