“Rampage” Jackson stalls signing Hamill fight; Wants Stephan Bonnar at UFC 130

Former UFC light heavyweight champion, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson is stalling on signing his UFC 130 bout agreement to face Matt Hamill and has called for the Las Vegas based promotion to hand him a fight with Stephan Bonnar at UFC 130 on May 28th instead, as he’s not overly excited about facing “The Hammer”.

Jackson is reluctant to sign on the dotted line as he doesn’t consider Hamill to be on the same level as him both as a fighter and in the divisions current standings. He is also said to want “a tear up” inside the octagon and doesn’t feel Hamill is equipped to give him one. Jackson therefore sees this as the perfect opportunity to make an example of Bonnar in front of millions of people.

Jackson was originally due to go head-to-head with Brazilian heavy hitter, Thiago Silva on the Las Vegas card before he tested positive for banned substances. The original rumour was that Jackson would be granted a rematch with bitter rival, Rashad Evans but it was later ruled out. Jackson got back to winning ways after losing via decision to bitter rival Rashad Evans when he defeated fellow former champion, Lyoto Machida via split decision in October.
